Ancestors of Joan Carol Betler

On these pages you will find the ancestors of Julane’s mother, Joan Carol Betler. She was named after Joan Crawford but her mother thought the name was pronounced “Jo-Ann.” So she is known as Joan to her family but all her friends since college have called her Carol. She and Gene were married in 1949.

Both lines have been well documented through the years by many family historians. Ancestors include those from England, Ireland and Switzerland with a good dose of Scots-Irish.
